Bringing High-Quality Shrimps to the UK
As shrimp enthusiasts in the UK, we’ve faced the challenge of finding high-quality shrimps. Determined to make a difference, we decided to take on this challenge and change the landscape for shrimp hobbyists.
Our vision is to collaborate with reputable breeders from Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Europe to bring these stunning freshwater shrimps to tanks across the UK. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hobbyist, we aim to make these beautiful creatures accessible for everyone to enjoy.
Growing Our Shrimp Room for the Future
Our shrimp room currently houses 86 tanks, but we’re not stopping there! We have plans to expand to around 90–100 tanks, allowing us to further grow and diversify our offerings.
With this expansion, we’ll have the capacity to:

Introduce more varieties of Caridina and Neocaridina shrimps.

Explore the fascinating world of Sulawesi shrimps.

Offer a wider selection of aquatic plants and shrimp-related products.
Our goal is to cater to both beginners and seasoned hobbyists by providing a broader range of high-quality options and resources.
Quarantine
We have a strict quarantine policy. Once shrimps are received from our suppliers, they will then under go quarantine for an extensive period. This process is typically over a month, to ensure that all shrimps that are dispatched by The Shrimp Factory UK are guaranteed healthy.
The International shrimp contest 2026
The Shrimp Factory hit the road this April, heading to Hamm, Germany for an incredible expo featuring the International Shrimp Contest 🦐
Breeders from around the world came together to showcase their finest shrimp, each one a result of dedication, skill, and passion. Expert judges carefully selected the top-quality entries, awarding prizes that truly reflected the hard work behind every tank.
Beyond the competition, the event was all about community—meeting amazing people, exchanging knowledge, and celebrating a shared love for shrimp keeping. An unforgettable experience from start to finish!
