Application: 1 alder cone per 10-30 litres of aquarium water, depending on the size. It is better to use several alder cones at different times. Renew after 2-3 weeks.

The GARNELEN4YOU alder cones are a proven natural product for shrimp farming and ideally combine natural water treatment, health promotion and an additional source of nutrition. As cones of the black alder (Alnus glutinosa), they introduce valuable bioactive ingredients into the aquarium and thus create stable, near-natural conditions that also occur in the natural habitats of many shrimps.
After being introduced into the water, the alder cones release humic acids, tannins, flavonoids and other secondary plant substances. These have a natural antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. As a result, they can inhibit the spread of harmful microorganisms and make an important contribution to stabilizing the aquatic biology as well as the general health of your aquarium inhabitants. In addition, the pH value is slightly lowered, which is particularly advantageous for many more sensitive shrimp species.
A characteristic effect is the slight brown colouring of the water, which creates a near-natural "blackwater" environment and can promote the well-being and stress resistance of your shrimp. In addition to their effect on water quality, alder cones also serve as a natural long-term feed. They form a valuable growing area for beneficial microorganisms, which are continuously grazed by shrimps, crabs and snails and thus represent an additional, natural source of food.
Due to their compact size, the alder cones are particularly suitable for shrimp and nano aquariums and at the same time can be harmoniously integrated into a near-natural aquarium design. They are continuously tested in the in-house breeding facility to ensure consistently high quality.
