Black Fancy Tiger is a Caridina shrimp with bold stripes and distinctive patterns that vary from one shrimp to the next. It comes from breeding tiger shrimp with pure black lines. Grading is based on shell thickness, colour opacity and pattern. A Fancy Tiger that is mostly white is called a White Dominant Fancy Tiger.

High grade: thick solid white shell, strong jet-black tiger striping across the full body, coloured legs, excellent contrast and symmetry, and minimal transparent areas.

Mid grade: excessive black areas or an uneven pattern, a white face with inconsistent striping, reduced symmetry and more variation in shell density.

Low grade: weak striping, transparent or yellowish shell sections, incomplete pattern coverage, faded contrast.

Water parameters: RO water remineralised with Caridina-specific GH+ Temperature: 20 to 24 °C pH: 5.8 to 6.4 GH: 4 to 6 KH: 0 to 1 TDS: 100 to 150
