Green Babaulti (Caridina babaulti) shrimp come in a variety of colours and adapt to their surroundings. Body colour can change with lighting, substrate, sex, breeding season and age. The most typical appearance is a grass-green body with horizontal stripes on the gill covers. The longer, serrated rostrum sets them apart from Neocaridina. They can easily be kept with other Caridina shrimp as well as Neocaridina shrimp. There is no risk of crossbreeding between Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp.
