SL-aqua Sulawesi Rock is a 100% natural substrate which is mainly used in Sulawesi aquariums. The gravel is made of crushed volcanic rock with a size of +- 3-8 millimeters. Since the gravel is made of 100% natural volcanic rock, the gravel gives the aquarium a completely natural look.
The gravel itself is extracted on Sulawesi (one of the largest islands in Indonesia). This region is unique and rich in many specific trace elements and minerals which can also be found in the rock. This mimics the natural habitat of the sulawesi shrimp to the greatest accuracy. These trace elements and minerals also support the overall health and growth of the shrimp.
The volcanic rock is also very porous. This ensures a good water flow in the soil, which ensures optimum water quality. The porous surface ensures that many good filter bacteria can live on the gravel, which makes the entire bottom into a large aquarium filter. In addition, many good algae and micro-organisms live on the gravel, which benefits the natural and long-term nutrition of the shrimp.
Usage
Do not wash the gravel before use
Spread the sulawesi rock evenly over the bottom
Fill the aquarium slowly to avoid agitation of the bottom
A real must-have in any sulawesi (shrimp) aquarium.
